What is an omelet:
A dish made from beaten eggs, fried with butter or oil in a frying pan. It is most common to have a filling of choice such as vegetables, meat, or cheese folded around egg.
The history of Omelet’s:
Some speculate who was the first person to make the omelet, many associate the dish with the French, others think that the Romans were the first people to make a omelet. Some believe it was the Romans because they mixed eggs with sweetened honey and called it “ovemele” which is close to the modern term, omelet. Other think it was just a coincidence that the French were the originators of the omelet coming from “amelette,” which mean “blade” in French. This made sense since an omelet dish is the shape of a blade.
