French Toast

What you will need:

  • 3 large eggs
  • two teaspoons of packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 of a teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • Quarter teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted utter
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 6-8 sliced of bread

What is French Toast?

French Toast is a dish the consist of sliced bread dipped in beaten eggs, witch milk, cinnamon, and vanilla, then pan fried. Most eat French Toast with syrup and butter.

The History of French Toast:

Did you know French Toast is a Phony! French toast is not French at all! A man named Joseph French created the dish in 1724, and advertised it at “French Toast”. But it is reported the Joe was the first to advertise French toast but a similar recipe is reported back all the way to the early 5th century AD. The dish was called “Pan Dulcis”. Like pancakes, French toast also has many nick names including German toast, eggy bread, French- fried bread, gypsy toast, poor knights of Windsor, Spanish toast, and pain perdu which means ” lost bread” in French.
